Lauderdale County is a county located in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2010 census, the population of the county was 92,709. The county seat is Florence.
Lauderdale County was established on December 20, 1818, from parts of Lawrence, Limestone, and Wayne counties. It was named for Colonel James Lauderdale, a soldier of the War of 1812.
